Summary
MoveClone is a comparison platform for moving, container, truck rental, and car shipping services. We try to collect as little information about you as we can, we tell you what we do collect, and we do not sell it.
What we collect
Quote requests. If you use the search form on this site to request moving quotes, we store the origin city, destination city, move size, move date, and any contact information you provide. We store it so we can respond to your request and, with your permission, put you in touch with movers who serve your area.
Visit logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information about each visit, including the page visited, the referring page, the user agent, and the IP address. We use these records to diagnose problems and keep the site running.
Error reports. When the site hits an error, a limited error report is sent to our error-tracking service so the team can investigate. Error reports include the page URL and a stack trace. They do not include form field values.
Analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not set cookies and do not profile individual visitors. If the operator later enables additional analytics providers, this page will be updated and the updated date will change.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information to brokers.
- We do not share quote requests with moving companies you did not explicitly opt to contact.
- We do not set advertising tracking cookies in the default configuration of this site.
- We do not require an account to browse or to use the quote search.
Third-party services we use
The site depends on a small number of third-party services to operate. Each one processes a narrow slice of information for a specific purpose.
- Hosting, cache, and content delivery.
- Database storage for the information listed above.
- Error tracking for diagnostic stack traces.
- Analytics for aggregate traffic metrics.
- Email delivery if you submit a contact form.
Each service is bound by its own terms and data-handling obligations. The operator does not transmit information to any partner referral network or advertising exchange unless you explicitly opt in for a given request.
Your choices
You can browse the site without submitting any information. You can use the quote search without providing contact details, and in that case we only retain the routing and move-size data to generate the estimate.
If you would like us to delete a quote request you submitted, email the address below and reference the approximate time you submitted the request.
How long we keep things
Quote requests are retained for the period necessary to deliver a response and complete any follow-up communication, and are then anonymized or deleted. Visit logs are retained by our hosting provider per their retention policy and are not exported to us.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to the site, contact the address below and we will remove it.
Changes to this page
We may update this page. When we do, the effective date at the top will change. Significant changes will also be announced at the site’s home page.
