Why this site exists
Shopping for a mover is uniquely hard. Quotes are scattered, prices change without warning, and the companies with the biggest advertising budgets are often not the ones with the best track records. We built this platform to put every public record, cost range, and customer review in one place so you can make a clear, informed decision.
How we work
Our editorial team is not paid by movers. Every data source we use is disclosed in our data-sources document. When a carrier shows up in our listings, it is because we found them in public records, not because they paid for placement.
When we recommend a specific company in a guide, we say why in plain language. If that recommendation comes with a referral relationship, we disclose it directly.
Our data sources
- FMCSA SAFER — federal licensing, safety, and insurance records for interstate carriers
- US Census Bureau — population and demographic data for every place we cover
- Bureau of Labor Statistics — occupational wage benchmarks for moving laborers
- NOAA climate normals — weather and climate context for route planning
- OpenStreetMap + TIGER/Line — geographic boundaries and coordinates
All of the above are public-domain or openly licensed. We never republish proprietary reviews without permission.
Who’s on the team
A small editorial and engineering team. We are intentionally independent and intentionally small; the goal is an honest comparison platform, not a lead-generation funnel.
